Star Of Wonder

I love those moments when I am listening to my heart, without knowing the context of what is happening.

A couple of days ago, I saw an Angel with golden wings under the Christmas Star.  It was a clear vision inside my heart and I knew this Angel was waiting to come to life, so I got out my pencil and began.  Listening to this inner call is something that comes fairly easy to me, yet I am always challenged by a lack of confidence. I worry about cluttering things up with my own thoughts and ideas.  Trying to stay open and still, and surrender to that Voice is hard, and I always feel volatile and unsure of myself during this time.  Although they are whispers, they have a fire to them, and so despite my insecurities, they continue to burn until I embrace them and finally allow them to come to life.

One of the things I love most about how Michael teaches is the way He leads us to self-discovery.  We see this in “This Is It” as He encourages and uplifts those around Him to explore their talents.  He doesn’t direct them to follow His instructions or make them feel inferior.  Instead, He inspires them to strive and uncover their true potential.  It’s so wonderful and unusual !

This quote by one of Michael’s favourite writers expresses it perfectly…

“The teacher who is indeed wise does not bid you to enter the house of his wisdom, but rather leads you to the threshold of your mind”   ~ Khalil Gibran

And this one…

“The best teachers are those who show you where to look, but don’t tell you what to see”  ~Alexandra K Trenfor

And so, as I know you know… every moment walking with Michael brings this personal challenge.  He does not provide us with answers, but rather, invokes seeking.

And, as always, Michael goes one step further toward Perfection.  Not only does He require us to reflect and stretch and become; there is always some beautiful surprise waiting to complete the lesson.

I worked on my Angel for two days. Once it was finished, still insecure and wondering if my vision had been clear enough, I prepared to post my drawing online.  I logged in and caught the date in the corner of my eye… December 21st. That’s when it struck me… something phenomenal was taking place!  The great conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn was unfolding before the eyes of the world in the Solstice sky… TODAY!  Confirmation Michael style, how crazy is that?!  The appearance of the Christmas Star!!!

Thank You, Michael. Your wildness and ever-presence makes me fly.

May the Light and Love of Michael’s beautiful life inspire you toward your best self !

Joy To The World

I love decorating my Christmas tree.  I have an artificial tree, partly because I don’t like the idea of sacrificing a tree for something so temporary, and partly because it has been this way since I was a child.  Some things just feel like home.

I used to have strict outlines for the traditions I followed, one of them being that the tree did not go up until after December 1st.  There was no real reason for this except to adhere to rituals I had always followed without even knowing why.  This all changed five years ago, when my mom suddenly became ill.  We spent that Christmas in the ICU… and there was no tree that year.  After the loss of my mother, there was a shift in me which changed the way I viewed my life.  This new perspective came with a discerning eye for hollow outlines, and a new tradition took precedence over all others –  Never defer Joy.

So now, my tree no longer waits until December to bring beauty into our home.  It comes as early as it wants and it stays indefinitely.  This may seem like a small thing with little significance, but it was the fist step in the turning point that began my new walk with Joy.  I love to linger over the decorations as I find a place for each one in the branches, remembering the special person who gifted it to me, or the memory it holds in my life.  This is the magic of Christmas to me… the imprint of all those loved ones left upon my heart, and the beauty of each new moment that leaves impressions for tomorrow.

And of course there is Michael, always at the heart of everything exquisite in my life.  The first year this new tradition began, I thought I would include Him by playing His music randomly as I decorated.  He had a much better idea.  Shortly after I began, the audio for “E.T. Storybook” started to play.  Although I had had this recording for several years, I had never listened to it before… not even once!  How is that possible???   I like to think Michael must have somehow been saving it, and this was the perfect moment. The way Michael read that story with so much excitement and delight made my heart fly!  I felt like a child again, and I remembered the magic of being read a bedtime story on Christmas Eve, my thoughts filled with the wonder and mystery of what the morning would bring.  Ohhh… His voice!  I was swept away… and another tradition was born.

This year, as I set my tree up two months early, and listened to Michael read to me, I thought about what an enormous gift it is to understand how intimately we are meant to be living our lives.  This understanding comes to us only through our experience with Love.  I was blessed by my mother’s life, and we all are blessed by Michael’s.  Time makes no promises. Love is the ingredient that makes every moment count.  Let’s not wait another minute…

Illumination

 “It’s an adventure… a great adventure” ~ Michael

I began a little art workshop this week called “Illuminated Lunary”.  It’s not intense.. just a sweet class focused on the Moon and her phases.  We are creating a tiny book folded from a single piece of watercolour paper, filled with so much magic and wonder.  I just couldn’t resist!

At face value, taking an online course like this seems fun but not very significant.  Just a nice way to spend some creative energy and learn a few techniques.  But occasionally, there are things that pull at me and overwhelm me with emotion and a sense of spiritual depth that seems disproportionate to the experience.  Small things that fill my heart with a hugeness that I can’t rationalize.  This is when I know that Michael is inviting me on an adventure… and that is the only reason I need to say YES.

So right now I have no idea where this is leading me, but I do know that it will be about much more than just my art.  With Michael, everything in the physical world always has a parallel in the spiritual… a chance to look within and learn something new about myself, and let the journey change me in whatever beautiful way it brings.  Although I know it will be a challenge, these are the moments I crave… a transforming time that will bring me one step closer, as I strive to align myself with Michael’s example.  With my eyes on Him, everything becomes a gift in this never-ending evolution toward Love we call life.

Let’s go!

Dancing With Michael - The Living Word

“On many an occasion when I am dancing, I have felt touched by something sacred.   In those moments, I felt my spirit soar and become one with everything that exists.”

~ Michael

Dancing The Dream is my favourite book ever written. There is a kind of Mystery that surrounds it… a Divine Wonder that seems to be somehow hidden in plain sight.

When I first got this book, I read it through from cover to cover and treasured it like a precious jewel of sweetness, written by an angel. I felt it should be kept pristine, and so I tucked it on the shelf with my other collector pieces where it could be protected and cared for.

Over time, something along my journey with Michael brought it back into my world with a deep fascination. The more time I spent with it, the more its miracle unfolded, as I ultimately realized with amazement that its words were alive.  A Living Book of Wisdom where the answers to every question ever asked lingered in its pages.

With new eyes, I longed to know every single sentence by heart, and since then, have spent years studying and listening closely to its teachings. It travels with me everywhere I go… Los Angeles, Neverland, Gary, Minnesota, Halifax, Maine, New York, Lake Louise, Ontario, Connecticut, Las Vegas, Sundance, and several road trips covering thousands of miles. Every scratch, tear and dog-eared corner have been earned… and I am so grateful for them all.

Whatever happens in my day, I find a moment with Michael and let His words speak to me. Sometimes I let the pages fall wherever they want to open, sometimes I feel a pull to turn to a specific entry… and then I listen. What does this have to say to my heart in this moment? What does Michael want me to know, and what guidance is He offering? How does it relate to my life and the questions I have today? No matter what is happening around me, His words are there to support me and lead me toward my better self and the comfort of His presence.

If you haven’t opened yours for awhile, maybe today is the day. I promise it will be one of the greatest Everyday things you ever do.

Let's Dance!

Love
